FAQ'S

What is the best age to capture my child’s prints?

There is no age limit, but we believe the best time to capture all of their perfect details would be between 0-6 months. If you choose to have prints taken onto pottery, it can be difficult to take a clear hand print until your child is 7 months old due to the grasp reflex which causes young babies to clench their fists. This doesn't usually cause a problem with clay imprints as the hands are not able to move and slip as easily.

What should I expect at an event?

You can arrive early if you wish to browse through the samples and colour charts. Once you have made your selection, your child’s hands and feet will be gently pressed into clay to make an impression, or paint applied and pressed onto the bisque ware. The appointment takes approximately 15 - 20 minutes. We will work with you to create a print and design you are happy with. If you would like to order more than five items please get in touch before booking as a double session may be required. Payment; we accept cash, card and bank transfer. Payment in full is required at this time. We will bring your completed order back to the venue within 6 - 8 weeks or you can arrange to collect from the studio.

When can I expect to receive my keepsake items?

Prints on pottery take up to two weeks. During very busy periods such as Christmas, it can sometimes take up to three weeks. Clay imprints need time to dry and to be fired twice. You can expect to receive your imprints within 4-6 weeks. We will contact you as soon as your items are complete. You can collect from the venue if you attended an event, or direct from the studio in Rothersthorpe. Postage can be arranged for smaller items.

How should I look after my pottery?
